Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account information: your name and email address, and if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID and profile picture.
• YouTube data: if you connect a channel, we access your channel's public metadata (title, subscriber/video counts) and the public comments on your videos, via the official YouTube Data API. This access is read-only — we never post, reply, edit, or delete anything on your behalf.
• Direct submissions: if a viewer submits an idea through your public Suggestion Box page, we store the text they submitted, an optional name, and a hashed (non-reversible) form of their IP address used only for spam-rate limiting.
• Usage data: how many comments have been imported/analyzed and basic product usage, so we can show you your own usage and enforce plan limits.

How we use it

Comment and submission text is analyzed using Amazon Bedrock (an AWS AI service) to detect whether it contains a video suggestion, normalize it into a clear idea, and group similar requests together. This analysis is used solely to power your inbox of suggestions — it is not used to train any AI model, and is not shared with, or used by, any third party for their own purposes.

YouTube API Services

Suggestion Box uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting your channel, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's own use of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Suggestion Box's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Security settings, or by disconnecting your channel in Suggestion Box's Integrations settings.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data, or any viewer's data, to anyone.
• We don't post, reply to, or delete comments or videos on your channel.
• We don't require viewers to create an account to submit an idea.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your account and channel data for as long as your account is active. Disconnecting your YouTube channel stops all future comment imports immediately; your existing suggestions and ideas are kept so you can still access them. You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us below.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Children's privacy

Suggestion Box is intended for creators and their adult audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
